Plan Display Schedule

imageThe Choices for Cheney process continues to move forward, and for the next two weeks, a copy of the current land use ‘concept’ will be on display for review and comment.

See the schedule and location chart below for specifics, drop by the exhibit when it’s most convenient, and jot down your thoughts on any or all of the ideas presented. In many cases, City staff will be on-hand to answer questions and offer information about the concept map or the Choices for Cheney process.

A small-size version is already posted on-line if you’d like to review it beforehand, too. Check it out here or see it in-person, but be sure to give us your thoughts!

Plan Display Schedule

imageHard to believe, but the Choices for Cheney process has been underway since September of last year - and a lot has been accomplished.

Interested in seeing some of the results in-person, and perhaps weighing in on some of the plan concepts? The City’s hoping that many folks are, and has prepared displays and a quick questionnaire to be stationed at several community gathering spots between now and the end of this month. In many cases, City staff will be on-hand to answer questions and offer information about the Choices for Cheney process.

Check out the concept illustrations in advance if you’d like beforehand, but see the schedule chart below for a listing of the various display places and times, and be sure to stop by!

Choices for Cheney Photo Album

imageGood communities are incredibly complex. Often, it’s the combination of numerous things that make a place unique and well-loved by residents. But describing it all in words can be tough.

That’s where snapshots can help. Here’s an exercise we’ll offer at upcoming workshops, but will also offer here - a chance to photograph Cheney’s best features:

Step 1: If you’ve already got a camera, download and print out the worksheet linked below. Or if you’d prefer, pick up a free, disposable camera and worksheet at the addresses listed.
Step 2: Follow the instructions and take snapshots of your favorite Cheney features, recording captions for each image.
Step 3: Return your camera or images to the City or via e-mail using the addresses on the worksheet, and we’ll take care of the rest.

We’ll post everyone’s images and captions on a special Flickr page, and display printed versions at future workshops and community gatherings. Feeling really creative? Consider a short movie. All images will be included as attachments with the future plan, and the very best shots may even be included as plan illustrations.

What makes Cheney a great place to live? Tell the story in pictures!
